Palo Fun Days Wiffle Ball Tournament (Ages 8-18)  – Fill out form


Division

• One Division: Ages 8-18 (Boys and Girls)- With a twist To promote fun and fair play, the umpire may award a run advantage before the game begins: - Younger teams may receive a 1-run lead, up to 5 runs maximum - Teams with several girls may receive a 1-run lead, up to 5 runs maximum - All run advantages are determined by the umpire prior to first pitch.

Team Registration – Online at: Palo Fun Days Wiffle Ball Tournament (Ages 8-18) • Registration Fee - $5.00 per player- Pay online at OTC. Please list Team Name, Team Manager Name, and Phone Number. • Registration closes Monday, August 10, 2026 • Each participant must have a consent signed by a parent and emailed to paloparksandrec@cityofpalo.com prior to Monday, August 10th. • Roster Size: Minimum 6 players, Maximum 9 players - Players on Field: 6–9 at one time • Teams may bat the entire lineup • Each team must supply a catcher • Players may only compete on one team unless approved by Palo Parks & Rec

Tournament Format

• Double Elimination • Schedule will be released on Thursday, August 16, 2026 - If we get ahead, we will stay ahead • First place team receives registration money back

Game Rules

• Home team is determined by Rock, Paper, Scissors • Teams pitch to their own hitters • Maximum of 3 pitches per batter o Foul balls on the 3rd pitch remain live until a fair ball is hit • Batted ball contacting the pitcher results in a re-do pitch • Standard baseball/softball rules apply (no pegging) • Games will be 50 minutes or 5 innings, whatever comes first • 5-run cap per inning until the final inning • Balls and bats provided- Original skinny wiffle ball bats only, smush balls will be used (similar to a stress ball) • Tie-Breaker Rule - If still tied: Rock, Paper, Scissors – best out of 3

Sportsmanship Expectations

• Respect all umpires — they are volunteers- This is about fun, no need for coaching during games • Spectators or volunteers may be asked to assist with umpiring as needed

Home Run Derby

• When: Immediately following the conclusion of the tournament on the North Field • Cost: $5 per participant (day-of registration): Open to all (team participation not required) • Pitcher: Participants must supply their own pitcher • 10 pitches per participant • No ties- youngest participant wins- If still tied: Rock, Paper, Scissors • Winner receives the pot

When: Sunday, July 26th from 10 am to 1 pm

Where: Palo City Hall- 2800 Hollenbeck Rd

 

Join us for a fun afternoon learning about trucks, cars, and other essential vehicles around the city! We will have a firetruck, concrete mixer, tractor, combine, skid loader, dump truck and so many more! Learn about what these vehicles do and what they provide for our city while seeing these vehicles up close and personal!

Players 3 years - 6 years old are welcome to sign up. Players must 3 by May 1st, 2026. Registration will close on February 28th.

 

Dates:

-Practices: Sunday afternoons in May (5/3, 5/10, 5/17, 5/24) -No practice Memorial weekend (5/31)

-Games: Sunday afternoons in June (6/7, 6/14, 6/21, 6/28)

Location: Palo Ball Diamonds - Memorial Park
